Problems with Internet Explorer on Macintosh clients

Problem: When Spell Check Applet is opened by Internet Explorer running on the Macintosh, the message "Object does not support this property of method" is displayed and the error line points to an attempt to call one of Spell Check Applet's methods.

Internet Explorer on the Macintosh does not (currently) support JavaScript to Applet communication. This communication is necessary for operation of Wintertree Spell Check Applet. Unfortunately, until the issue is resolved by Microsoft, Wintertree Spell Check Applet is not usable with Internet Explorer on the Macintosh platform.

Note that if the "Object does not support this property or method" message appears in Internet Explorer on other (non Macintosh) platforms, the problem is most likely a configuration problem, or a communication problem. If the applet cannot be located on the server, or cannot be downloaded from the server, or the applet's JAR file is corrupted, IE will be unable to run the applet and the message may appear.
